The Opportunity
An outstanding opportunity exists for a Lawyer to join a Dispute Resolution team within a leading international firm’s Sydney office. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of disputes, potentially including general commercial litigation, construction disputes, class actions, and financial services litigation.
You will collaborate closely with senior lawyers locally and gain exposure to cross-border and cross-practice disputes, advising a high-profile client base across diverse industry sectors.
The team is known for managing complex, high-stakes litigation and investigations for many of the world's leading companies. With a seamless and collaborative international network, the team handles matters before domestic courts, arbitration panels, and specialist tribunals.
Key Responsibilities:
Advising on and managing a variety of litigation matters from inception to resolution.
Supporting partners and senior lawyers with complex, high-value disputes.
Conducting legal research, preparing court documents, and drafting advice.
Contributing to client relationship development and maintaining high levels of service.
About You:
2–5 years' experience in dispute resolution, gained at a top-tier or mid-tier firm, or in-house.
Excellent legal drafting and verbal communication skills.
A strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and manage matters effectively.
Exceptional attention to detail and well-developed analytical skills.
Ability to collaborate within a team, mentor junior lawyers, and also operate independently.
A proactive and energetic mindset, with a client-centric approach and a desire to grow professionally.
