Construction Lawyer | 2–4 PQE | National Firm | Back-End Focus

The Opportunity

A leading national law firm is looking for a talented Construction Lawyer (2–4 PQE) to join its high-performing Construction & Major Projects team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale domestic and international projects, in a collaborative environment that spans three offices and multiple practice groups.

You will work closely with developers, principals, contractors, major subcontractors, and consultants, delivering strategic legal advice on complex back-end construction matters. This role also offers the opportunity to work alongside financial and technical professionals, providing a broader commercial perspective on major projects.


Key Work Areas

  • High-profile disputes and advisory work related to major construction projects

  • Renewable energy and infrastructure matters (including solar, wind and transport)

  • Cross-practice collaboration with renewables, commercial real estate, and major projects teams

  • Project types include:

  • Energy, Renewables and Power

  • Transport and Infrastructure

  • Defence

  • Telecommunications and Technology

  • Commercial Offices, Hotels, Retail and Industrial

  • Major Residential Developments


About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 2–4 years’ PQE, ideally with a strong focus on back-end construction or infrastructure disputes

  • Hands-on experience in infrastructure, renewables, solar or wind projects

  • Candidates from related areas such as contract law, telecommunications, or technology will also be considered

  • Experience at a top-tier, mid-tier or international firm is highly regarded

  • Strong technical, drafting and negotiation skills

  • Excellent client service ethic and commercial acumen

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a national team

  • Confidence to work across multiple jurisdictions with a collaborative mindset
