Solicitor / Senior Associate – Project Finance (Melbourne)

The Opportunity
Join a market-leading Project Finance team at one of the world’s most respected international law firms. Based in Melbourne, this is an outstanding opportunity for a Solicitor or Senior Associate to gain premium exposure to some of the most significant energy, renewable and infrastructure financing transactions in the region.

You’ll work closely with partners recognised as leaders in project and asset finance—advising both lenders and borrowers on complex transactions that shape Australia’s infrastructure and energy markets.

The Role
In this role, you will:

  • Advise on high-profile project and asset acquisition financings, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects

  • Act for major domestic and international banks, sponsors and corporates

  • Draft, negotiate and manage complex finance documents

  • Build relationships with leading market participants through direct client engagement

  • Collaborate with senior colleagues and cross-practice teams to deliver innovative legal solutions

About You
We are seeking candidates who bring:

  • 3+ years’ post-admission experience in project finance, structured finance, or broader banking & finance matters (from a top-tier, national, or international practice)

  • Excellent technical and drafting skills, with strong attention to detail

  • A commercial and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to manage complex transactions under pressure

  • A proactive approach and genuine interest in contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team

  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning and development
