A leading independent Australian law firm is seeking a Senior Associate with transactional banking & finance experience to join its nationally integrated team in Brisbane. This role offers the chance to advise high-profile borrowers, lenders, sponsors, and government bodies on complex financing arrangements across some of the country’s most significant sectors and projects.
About the Role
You’ll join a high-performing team known for its collaborative national approach and diverse client base. The work includes:
Project finance and asset finance
Leveraged finance and syndicated lending
Debt capital markets and structured finance
Financing transactions in energy, renewables, infrastructure, property, and natural resources
You will gain direct access to clients and senior stakeholders and play a key role in leading transactions, mentoring junior lawyers, and contributing to business development.
About You
This role is ideal for a recently promoted Senior Associate (up to 3 years in level) with:
Solid experience in transactional banking and finance matters
A background from a reputable commercial or top-tier firm
Strong drafting, structuring, and negotiation skills
A collaborative approach and commercial mindset
The ability to build relationships with clients and contribute to a growing team
