Senior Associate – Litigation (Banking & Insolvency)

An opportunity is available for a Senior Associate (3–5 years PAE) to join a leading banking litigation and insolvency practice in Sydney. This role offers exposure to complex, high-quality matters for major financial institutions, alongside strong career development and flexible working arrangements.
The Opportunity
You will join a well-established litigation team specialising in banking litigation and insolvency. Working closely with experienced partners and a collaborative national team, you will be involved in a broad mix of advisory and contentious matters. The role offers a balance of autonomy and team-based work, with exposure to matters across State, Federal and appellate jurisdictions, and opportunities to collaborate nationally.
Key Responsibilities
Acting for banks, lenders and insolvency practitioners
Advising on and running lending loss and non-lending loss disputes
Working on a range of insolvency and restructuring matters, both advisory and litigious
Managing matters with increasing responsibility and supervising junior lawyers
About You
3–5 years PAE in litigation, ideally with banking and/or insolvency experience
Strong strategic and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated leadership capability and interest in mentoring junior lawyers
Excellent practice management skills and attention to detail
Admitted in Australia with a current practising certificate
