The Opportunity

Are you a seasoned Property Lawyer looking to balance top-tier legal work with genuine part-time flexibility?

We are representing a leading national law practice seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join their high-performing Melbourne Property team. This role is unique in the market, offering the chance to lead significant Victorian real estate developments and transactions while maintaining a structured 3 or 4-day work week.


The Team & Culture

You will join a practice known for its collaborative, inclusive environment. Working alongside a highly respected Partner and a supportive team, you will advise a blue-chip client base, including:

  • Listed and unlisted real estate investment funds

  • Major property developers

  • Superannuation funds

  • Government bodies


The Role

This is a "hands-on" senior position that blends complex technical work with team leadership. Your portfolio will include:

  • Large-scale Transactions: Managing site acquisitions, disposals, and major development projects.

  • Leasing: Overseeing commercial and industrial leasing, as well as retail leasing for institutional landlords and major tenants.

  • Advisory: Providing strategic counsel to corporate clients and government entities.

  • Mentorship: Supervising junior lawyers and contributing to the strategic growth of the practice.


About You

We are looking for a confident, commercially astute lawyer with a proactive approach. To be successful, you will have:

  • 6-7+ years PAE in property law within a private practice environment.

  • Proven experience running large-scale real estate transactions and property development work.

  • Strong expertise in commercial, industrial, and retail leasing.

  • Experience working with institutional real estate funds.

  • Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills.

  • The ability to work autonomously while fostering a "team-first" mentality.
