We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Competition Lawyer / Associate to join a highly regarded competition and corporate practice based in Brisbane. You will be exposed to significant transactions and regulatory work, advising a broad range of private and publicly listed clients across multiple industries.
Assisting on mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and regulatory approvals
Supporting senior lawyers on capital raisings, takeovers, schemes of arrangement and cross-border transactions
Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and corporate agreements
Conducting legal research and preparing client advice on competition, consumer and corporate law issues
Preparing and managing submissions, authorisations and notifications to the ACCC
Supporting client meetings, transactions and due diligence processes
Working collaboratively across practice groups to deliver high-quality legal outcomes
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
A minimum of 3 years post-admission experience in competition and consumer law
Experience advising on a broad range of competition and regulatory matters
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality client outcomes
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A collaborative, team-focused working style
A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a genuine desire to grow your career in competition law
