The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate or junior Senior Associate to join our busy Sydney competition and disputes practice. You will work in a supportive team environment alongside highly experienced practitioners, with opportunities for day-to-day matter carriage and career development. The practice provides a broad range of legal services across multiple industries, with a key focus on:
• Competition and consumer law advice and litigation, including cartel matters
• Marketing and advertising clearance work
• Consumer law litigation
• Regulatory investigations and prosecutions
• General commercial litigation and class actions
You will work with both domestic and global clients across these areas, gaining exposure to a variety of complex and high-profile matters.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking candidates with 5–8 years PQE who have demonstrable litigation experience. Key capabilities include:
• Delivering high-quality legal services at your experience level
• Managing and fostering client relationships
• Supporting the team to achieve practice group goals
• Conducting research and providing clear, concise advice on complex legal matters
• Drafting court documents, affidavits, applications, and corresponding with counsel, courts, and tribunals
• Articulating technical arguments clearly
You will also:
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Manage workflow and deadlines with minimal supervision
• Be a team player ready to support colleagues during peak periods
• Receive and act on feedback constructively
• Contribute positively to office culture with a can-do attitude
