The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Construction Lawyer to join one of Queensland’s leading Construction, Infrastructure and Projects teams. Recognised for its depth of expertise and involvement in high-profile matters, the team advises on major projects across the State and nationally.
This role offers the chance to work with a broad client base—including government, developers, multinational engineering companies, and some of Australia’s largest contractors—while developing under the guidance of highly regarded peers and senior practitioners.
The Role
You will:
Advise clients on large-scale projects across transport, infrastructure, energy (including renewables), residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Manage disputes during and after project delivery, including adjudications, expert determinations, litigation, and arbitration.
Prepare advices, draft evidence, and legal submissions, and manage day-to-day conduct of litigious matters.
Work directly with counsel and technical experts.
Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals within the team.
About You
We are seeking a lawyer with 3–6 years’ PQE, ideally with back-end construction, project delivery or infrastructure experience. Strong litigators with expertise in civil procedure, particularly from the resources, mining or energy sectors, will also be considered.
