The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a leading national Property & Projects team, focusing on back-end construction matters. This is a chance to work on high-profile disputes across infrastructure, renewables, residential, healthcare and commercial projects, with a team known for its collegiate and supportive culture.

About the Role
You will advise private and government clients on construction and infrastructure disputes, particularly those arising from major projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing disputes across litigation, ADR, adjudication, and related interlocutory proceedings

  • Preparing and responding to payment claims and adjudication applications under Security of Payment legislation

  • Advising on contract administration, interpretation of contractual terms, and legislative frameworks

  • Contributing to dispute resolution strategies, mediations, and commercial negotiations

  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members

About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • At least 3 years’ post-admission experience in construction litigation and adjudication

  • Experience across back-end construction disputes (front-end experience valued but not essential)

  • Strong technical, drafting, analytical and project management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage client relationships and deliver commercial, solutions-focused advice

  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to mentor junior lawyers
