The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Lawyer or Associate (3+ PQE) to join a leading Construction team in Melbourne. Working within a well-established national practice, you’ll gain exposure to a strong pipeline of varied and complex matters for clients including major contractors, developers, and government bodies.

About the Role
This role will see you working across a wide range of disputes and matters, including:

  • Time, extension of time and delay claims

  • Variations and defect disputes (including latent defects)

  • Construction litigation in Victorian Courts

  • Arbitrations under domestic arbitration legislation

  • Expert determinations and mediations

  • Advising on construction insurance policies (experience beneficial but not essential)

You’ll be exposed to disputes across industries including commercial, energy, infrastructure, resources, residential, road, and rail projects.

About You
We are seeking a motivated lawyer with:

  • Around 3+ years’ PQE in construction disputes (or front-end construction with an interest in litigation)

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset

  • Solid academic results with a commitment to technical excellence

  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively in a team environment

  • A genuine passion for developing expertise in construction law
