In this role, you’ll work alongside senior practitioners and leaders in a collaborative national team environment, assisting major clients across transport, social infrastructure, renewables, commercial, and industrial projects.

You’ll advise on disputes during and post-project delivery, including adjudications, expert determinations, litigation, and arbitration. Your work will include drafting submissions, managing high-value matters, instructing counsel and technical experts, and supervising junior lawyers and paralegals.

Clients include government agencies, developers, multinational engineering firms, and leading head contractors.

About You

  • Strong experience in construction-related disputes and project delivery issues

  • Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills

  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients and colleagues

  • A commitment to mentoring and supporting less experienced team members

Whether you currently hold an Associate, Senior Associate or Special Counsel title, or bring strong in-house construction experience, this role offers an opportunity to work on some of Australia’s most complex and high-profile infrastructure matters.

The Benefits

You’ll join a national commercial firm that values professional development, collaboration, and flexibility. Benefits include:

  • A supportive, people-first culture with modern offices and hybrid work options

  • Flexible leave and working arrangements including purchased leave and study leave

  • Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP), wellbeing initiatives and firm social activities

  • Recognition and referral bonus programs

  • Genuine opportunities for career growth and advancement within a leading national practice

Why Join This Team

You’ll be part of a firm that’s recognised as an Employer of Choice, with a strong reputation for technical excellence, gender diversity, and social responsibility. The team’s work is both high-quality and impactful — with a focus on collaboration, client outcomes, and continuous learning.
