An outstanding opportunity is available for a talented Corporate Associate (3–5 PQE) to join a high-performing corporate practice advising on sophisticated private M&A and private equity transactions, both domestically and across borders.

The Opportunity

You will join a growing Corporate team with deep expertise across the full lifecycle of complex transactions, including:

  • Private M&A (buy-side and sell-side)

  • Private equity investments and exits

  • Cross-border deal structuring and execution

  • Post-completion integration and group restructures

  • Corporate governance and strategic advisory matters

Working closely with senior practitioners, you will play an active role in major matters while continuing to build your technical capability and commercial confidence.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Support and lead components of private M&A and PE transactions

  • Draft and negotiate transaction documents

  • Advise clients on corporate governance and strategic issues

  • Assist with complex structuring and post-deal integration work

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across national and international offices

  • Contribute to business development and firm-wide initiatives


About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience in corporate law

  • Strong experience in Private M&A (Australian market preferred)

  • Excellent drafting skills and strong attention to detail

  • A commercial mindset and practical, client-focused approach

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

  • A proactive work ethic and collaborative team style
