About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a corporate lawyer with at least 3 years’ post-admission experience to join the Sydney office of a leading national firm, with a particular focus on private M&A transactions.
You will work as part of a collaborative national team on a broad mix of M&A matters for corporate and private equity clients. On larger transactions, you’ll work closely with senior lawyers and partners; on smaller deals, you’ll have the opportunity to take on a key role with appropriate guidance and support from experienced team members.
As part of a true national practice, you will collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices, gaining exposure to complex, high-value and diverse work.


About You

You will have a minimum of 3 years’ PAE in corporate and commercial law, ideally from a top-tier, mid-tier or specialist M&A practice. You will bring strong technical skills and sound judgment, with exposure to a range of transactions and advisory work, including:
• Mergers and Acquisitions
• Private Equity and Investments
• Joint Ventures
• Shareholder, Share Sale and Asset Sale Agreements
• Due Diligence and Transaction Structuring
• Corporations Act and Regulatory Advice

You will also demonstrate:
• Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organisational and client management abilities
• The ability to manage and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals
• A collaborative and proactive approach, with a genuine interest in contributing to team success
