We are partnering with a highly regarded, award-recognised Corporate & Commercial practice seeking a 3–4 year PAE Associate to join their Sydney CBD team. As an Associate, you will work closely with senior members of the team across a broad mix of transactional and advisory matters. You will have genuine client contact and increasing responsibility, with appropriate supervision and support.
Your work will include:
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements
Advising on complex contracts, consumer law, licensing and procurement, IT and IP, privacy and cyber security, and PPSR interests
Assisting on mergers & acquisitions and funding arrangements
Advising on corporate governance matters, restructures, share splits and incorporations
Managing day-to-day carriage of matters and client liaison
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both transactional work and strategic advisory matters, and who wants exposure to a diverse client base including public and private sector organisations across industries such as manufacturing, transport, education and technology.
You will bring:
Approximately 3–4 years’ post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law
Experience drafting terms of trade, shareholder agreements, and sale and purchase of business documents
A strong interest in corporate advisory and restructuring
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong academic results and technical ability
The ability to manage workflow and prioritise effectively
A genuine interest in understanding clients and their commercial drivers
