Corporate/Investment Funds SA/SC

Senior Associate | Corporate, M&A & Investment Funds

The Opportunity

Are you a Senior Corporate Lawyer feeling capped by a traditional firm structure? Join Australia’s largest legal partnership in a role that prioritizes contribution over tenure.

Working within a high-profile Corporate and Investment Funds team, you will move beyond simple execution into a leadership phase. You will take significant ownership of matters, manage key client relationships directly, and mentor a high-performing pool of junior talent.

The Work

You will be at the coalface of complex commercial projects, including:

  • M&A: End-to-end management of sale and purchase agreements, due diligence, and structuring across diverse industries.

  • Investment Funds: Establishing and managing investment schemes, trusts, and stapled structures.

  • Joint Ventures: Negotiating complex JV frameworks and governance for major projects.

  • Corporate Advisory: Strategic advice on capital raisings, ASX Listing Rules, and board-level governance.

Why Join This Team?

  • True Meritocracy: We operate a unique model where your career trajectory is determined by your performance. 180-day career forecasting sessions ensure your path to Partnership is transparent and fast-tracked.

  • Direct Access: Work 1:1 with Chambers-ranked Partners on strategic transactional work—no "layers" of management between you and the lead Partner.

  • Better Balance: While we handle "Top-Tier" caliber work, our typical hours are 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, significantly better than the global firm average.

  • Market-Leading Benefits: 26 weeks of paid parental leave, performance-based bonus structures tied to PQE and billables, and a vibrant social culture (sports clubs, firm-wide networking).

About You

We are looking for a technically gifted and commercially minded lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years Post Qualified Experience (PQE) within a reputable mid or top-tier firm.

  • Technical Focus: A strong background in Corporate Law with specific exposure to Investment Funds and Joint Ventures.

  • Soft Skills: Proven ability to delegate to and mentor junior staff, coupled with the confidence to be a primary point of contact for sophisticated clients.

  • Drive: An interest in business development; a client following is highly regarded but not essential.
