A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Special Counsel to join its established Commercial Litigation practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-quality matters with a particular focus on cyber-related disputes and advisory work, within a collaborative and well-resourced team.

Providing strategic, commercial legal advice to clients
Managing litigation and dispute resolution matters with a cyber focus
Reviewing and applying relevant case law and legislative developments
Conducting detailed legal research and producing clear, practical advice
Managing competing priorities and delivering work efficiently
Developing a strong understanding of client operations and business strategy
Building and maintaining client relationships, including involvement in business development
Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers
Maintaining CPD and MCLE requirements
7+ years’ PQE with a background in litigation and/or insurance
Demonstrated experience in cyber matters (essential)
Ability to manage matters autonomously and oversee large document-heavy files
Strong commercial judgement and client-focused problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and time management
Clear, plain-English communication style
Confidence managing client expectations and delivering to tight turnaround times
Interest in building a long-term career within a cohesive, high-performing team
Previous exposure to business development and client relationship management
