About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for two high-performing Senior Associates or Special Counsels to join one of Melbourne’s most highly regarded dispute resolution and litigation practices.

This dynamic team handles a diverse range of complex and high-value matters, offering a collaborative environment where lawyers can continue to grow, develop, and take on leadership responsibilities. Clients include listed entities, SMEs, major property and investment funds, financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, and all levels of government.


The role

Working closely with experienced partners and a team of talented lawyers and paralegals, these roles will suit senior disputes lawyers seeking to broaden their practice and play a key role in mentoring and developing others.

While one position will have a focus on property and retail leasing disputes, the broader team’s work spans:

  • Property and leasing disputes (retail, commercial, and industrial)

  • Commercial and corporate litigation

  • Family trust and shareholder disputes

  • Regulatory investigations and civil penalty proceedings

  • Insolvency and restructuring litigation

  • Government inquiries, procurement disputes and Royal Commissions

  • White-collar crime and regulatory defence matters


About you

You will be a highly experienced, results-driven lawyer who thrives in a collaborative team culture. You’ll enjoy mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the overall success and morale of the group.

Key requirements:

  • Minimum 6+ years PAE in commercial litigation or dispute resolution

  • Currently a Senior Associate or Special Counsel in a recognised litigation practice

  • Experience in general commercial disputes and insolvency (property/retail leasing disputes experience essential for one of the roles)

  • Strong leadership, supervision, and workflow management skills

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with corporate and government clients

  • Exceptional analytical, drafting and research skills
