About the role

An opportunity is available for an Associate to join our Workplace, Health & Safety (WHS) team in Sydney.

You will work with a highly regarded national team advising both private and public sector clients on a broad range of workplace and safety matters, including:

  • Workplace health and safety incidents

  • Regulatory investigations and prosecutions

  • Coronial inquests

  • Workplace and incident investigations

  • Incident management, including psychosocial hazards

  • WHS systems, governance, and workplace culture

  • Road transport and heavy vehicle national law matters

  • Building safety and building-related litigation

This role offers exposure to complex and varied matters across jurisdictions and industries, with increasing autonomy supported by experienced specialists.


Clients and exposure

You will work with clients across a wide range of industries, including:

  • Commonwealth, state, and local government

  • Construction and infrastructure

  • Transport and logistics

  • Food, FMCG, and energy


About you

You will have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a well-regarded Workplace Health & Safety or Employment law practice

  • Experience or a strong interest in investigations, prosecutions, and inquests

  • Well-developed analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills

  • A collaborative approach and strong communication and organisational skills
