Employment Law Associate/SA

The Opportunity

You’ll work within a highly regarded national Employment Law team that advises major corporates on a full spectrum of workplace law matters. You'll gain exposure to both advisory and transactional work, collaborate with professionals across practice groups, and contribute to a forward-thinking, data-enabled legal service model.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide strategic workplace and employment law advice to Australian and international clients

  • Advise on performance management, disciplinary issues, workforce flexibility, and employment contracts

  • Work on major M&A and restructuring matters, supporting employment law due diligence and workforce transitions

  • Guide clients through culture and conduct risk issues, including discrimination, bullying, sexual harassment, and whistleblowing

  • Assist with wage compliance reviews, leveraging sophisticated data tools

  • Contribute to enterprise bargaining strategy, EA drafting, and BOOT analysis

About You:

  • At least 4 years’ post-qualification experience in employment or workplace law

  • Background in a top-tier, mid-tier, boutique employment practice or Big 4 legal team

  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks

  • Commercial, pragmatic approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Interest in legal innovation, technology, and business development

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
