The Opportunity
An award-winning national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Workplace Relations & Safety team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading clients across all aspects of employment law, industrial relations, and workplace safety in a collaborative, people-focused environment.
The Role
You will work on a wide range of matters, including:
Advising on employment contracts, workplace disputes, grievances, and terminations
Providing strategic guidance on industrial relations issues and safety compliance
Representing clients in tribunals and courts, and briefing barristers
Drafting advices, agreements, affidavits, and court documents
Supervising and delegating to junior lawyers, graduates, and paralegals
Supporting the growth of client relationships and contributing to business development
Mentoring and coaching junior team members as they progress through their careers
About You
We are looking for a motivated and technically strong lawyer with:
5–8 years PQE in workplace relations, employment, or safety law
A current practising certificate in the relevant jurisdiction
Strong drafting, advisory, and advocacy skills
Ability to build trusted client relationships and provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice
Excellent organisation and time management skills to manage competing priorities
A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring junior colleagues
Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
