Employment Lawyer 4-7 PQE

We are partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a Lawyer or Senior Associate to join their dynamic Labour, Employment & Workplace Safety practice in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a national and global team advising a broad range of clients on complex, high-profile employment, industrial relations, and workplace safety matters.

About the Role
Working alongside experienced partners and lawyers, you will handle a diverse mix of advisory, transactional, and litigious employment law matters. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Representing employers in employment disputes including unfair dismissal, discrimination, and general protections claims

  • Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, executive arrangements, service agreements, and workplace policies

  • Advising on compliance with employment laws and strategies to achieve client objectives

  • Litigating in State and Federal Courts, Tribunals, and Commissions, and engaging in alternative dispute resolution such as mediation and conciliation

  • Assisting with workplace health and safety investigations and advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions, insolvency, and business restructuring

  • Developing and delivering internal and external employment law training programs

  • Supporting business development and client relationship activities

About You

  • 4–7 years’ post-qualification experience in employment and workplace safety law, preferably gained in a respected law firm

  • Proven experience across a broad spectrum of employment law issues, from advisory to litigation

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide practical, client-focused solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organisation, and problem-solving abilities

  • A collaborative team player with a proactive approach and commitment to exceptional client service
