Working closely with clients, insurers, and external counsel, you will play a key role in managing and resolving a broad range of employment and workplace matters. Responsibilities include:
Representing clients in conciliations, mediations, arbitrations and court proceedings
Managing the defence and resolution of employment-related claims, including drafting defences, responses and settlement agreements
Providing strategic, commercially focused advice on employment law compliance, workplace policies and risk mitigation
Conducting investigations and detailed fact-finding in relation to employment disputes
Staying across legislative developments and relevant case law
Delivering high-quality legal research and clear, practical advice
Managing competing priorities and a substantial workload effectively
Building strong client relationships through a deep understanding of client operations and objectives
Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development
Meeting ongoing professional development and CLE requirements
You are a confident, driven employment lawyer who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You will bring:
5+ years’ post-qualification experience in employment and workplace relations matters
Strong technical expertise and attention to detail
A practical, client-focused approach to problem solving
