Senior Associate – Energy, Infrastructure & Projects | 7+ PQE | Brisbane

An international law firm with a top-tier reputation in projects and infrastructure is seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Senior Associate to join their growing Energy & Infrastructure team in Brisbane. This is a unique opportunity to play a lead role on large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects across Australia and beyond, while benefiting from a collaborative and future-focused work culture.

The Role
You’ll advise on the development, delivery and operation of major infrastructure and renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydrogen and battery storage. You’ll work alongside a respected group of national partners and enjoy cross-office collaboration, with the ability to engage in global mandates through the firm’s international footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of high-profile energy and infrastructure transactions and advisory work

  • Draft and negotiate project development agreements, energy procurement contracts and construction documentation

  • Guide clients through energy regulation and policy reform impacting the transition to net zero

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across public and private sectors

  • Collaborate with a nationally integrated and sector-specialist legal team

  • Mentor and develop junior lawyers

About You

  • 7+ years’ PQE in front-end energy, infrastructure or construction gained at a reputable firm

  • Strong background in major project development, PPP, or energy regulatory matters

  • Commercial and practical mindset, with a drive to deliver solutions that shape the built environment

  • Passionate about the energy transition and net-zero goals

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a desire to help grow a market-leading team
