Senior Associate – Energy, Infrastructure & Projects | 7+ PQE | Brisbane
An international law firm with a top-tier reputation in projects and infrastructure is seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Senior Associate to join their growing Energy & Infrastructure team in Brisbane. This is a unique opportunity to play a lead role on large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects across Australia and beyond, while benefiting from a collaborative and future-focused work culture.
The Role
You’ll advise on the development, delivery and operation of major infrastructure and renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydrogen and battery storage. You’ll work alongside a respected group of national partners and enjoy cross-office collaboration, with the ability to engage in global mandates through the firm’s international footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of high-profile energy and infrastructure transactions and advisory work
Draft and negotiate project development agreements, energy procurement contracts and construction documentation
Guide clients through energy regulation and policy reform impacting the transition to net zero
Build and maintain strong client relationships across public and private sectors
Collaborate with a nationally integrated and sector-specialist legal team
Mentor and develop junior lawyers
About You
7+ years’ PQE in front-end energy, infrastructure or construction gained at a reputable firm
Strong background in major project development, PPP, or energy regulatory matters
Commercial and practical mindset, with a drive to deliver solutions that shape the built environment
Passionate about the energy transition and net-zero goals
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a desire to help grow a market-leading team
