The Opportunity An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Associate (6+ PQE) to join a leading family law practice in Sydney. You’ll work closely with a highly respected senior practitioner who is gradually stepping back, providing a clear pathway to leadership and progression. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of complex financial matters, contribute to strategic decision-making, and become a key member of a busy, growing practice.
About the Firm This specialist family law team is recognised for delivering pragmatic, empathetic, and results-driven solutions across all aspects of family law. They are particularly strong in financial and property matters, with a client base that includes high-net-worth individuals and complex financial structures.
The Role
Manage a portfolio of complex financial and property-related family law matters.
Undertake detailed financial investigations, valuations, and disclosure reviews.
Work alongside senior leadership on strategy and client management.
Take day-to-day ownership of files with support from junior lawyers and paralegals.
Appear in mediations, negotiations, and court proceedings as required.
Contribute to business development and client relationship growth.
About You
6+ years’ PQE in family law, with strong financial/property settlement experience.
Skilled in financial analysis, tracing, and reviewing disclosure in complex matters.
Confident managing files end-to-end and working autonomously.
Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
Ambitious, commercially minded, and motivated to step into a senior leadership role.
