About the Role
You will manage a broad range of family law matters and work closely with senior practitioners on complex files. The role offers autonomy, support, and the opportunity to build lasting client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing matters involving divorce, separation, property settlements, parenting arrangements, child support, and spousal maintenance
• Drafting legal documents including affidavits, applications, consent orders, binding financial agreements, and correspondence
• Conducting client interviews and providing clear, empathetic legal advice
• Assisting at mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances
• Maintaining accurate file management and billing records
• Staying up to date with legislative and case law developments
• Building strong client relationships and contributing to practice growth through networking and business development
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
• 2–4 years post-admission experience in Family Law
• Proven ability to manage files independently
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and court procedures
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• A professional, client-focused approach with high ethical standards
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
• A current Australian practising certificate
