The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Associate Construction Lawyer to join a growing and highly regarded construction team. You’ll work across the full spectrum of construction law – from front-end contract drafting to back-end litigation and dispute resolution – on complex and high-value matters spanning industries such as property development and energy projects. This role offers significant client exposure, the opportunity to mentor junior lawyers, and a clear pathway to leadership within the practice.
The Role
In this role, you will:
Advise clients on all aspects of construction and infrastructure projects, including drafting and negotiating contracts, consultancy agreements, and tender documentation.
Provide strategic advice on risk allocation, compliance, and regulatory matters.
Manage complex construction disputes including litigation, arbitration, adjudications and expert determinations.
Prepare high-quality written advice, submissions, and client communications.
Build strong, long-term relationships with clients through proactive service delivery.
Mentor and support junior lawyers, contributing to the team’s collaborative and high-performance culture.
Play an active role in business development and thought leadership in the construction sector.
About You
We are seeking candidates with:
8–10 years PQE in construction law, with strong front-end and/or back-end experience.
Demonstrated expertise in litigation and dispute resolution (highly regarded).
Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commercial mindset.
Strong interpersonal and client relationship management capabilities.
Leadership qualities with a proven ability to supervise and mentor junior team members.
A proactive, organised, and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
