The Opportunity

A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Infrastructure & Energy Transition team in Brisbane. With a strong pipeline of major matters, this is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to work on some of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport sector.

This role offers the chance to work closely with a diverse client base on the procurement, delivery, and lifecycle management of major infrastructure initiatives, within a collaborative, high-performing team that values innovation, quality, and client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on all aspects of large-scale project delivery, including procurement, contract drafting, risk allocation, and negotiation.

  • Engaging directly with government and private sector stakeholders on complex infrastructure transactions.

  • Contributing to strategic project structuring and execution.

  • Supporting junior team members through mentoring and active engagement in their development.

  • Working as part of cross-practice and multi-jurisdictional teams on national and international matters.

About You:

  • 6+ years post-admission experience in projects, infrastructure, or construction law gained in a top or mid-tier firm, or a sophisticated in-house environment.

  • Deep interest in infrastructure and energy transition sectors with an ability to see the broader commercial and strategic context.

  • Proven experience in managing complex client relationships and project negotiations.

  • Strong drafting and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently while also thriving as part of a team.
