The Opportunity
A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Infrastructure & Energy Transition team in Brisbane. With a strong pipeline of major matters, this is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to work on some of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport sector.
This role offers the chance to work closely with a diverse client base on the procurement, delivery, and lifecycle management of major infrastructure initiatives, within a collaborative, high-performing team that values innovation, quality, and client service.
Key Responsibilities:
Advising on all aspects of large-scale project delivery, including procurement, contract drafting, risk allocation, and negotiation.
Engaging directly with government and private sector stakeholders on complex infrastructure transactions.
Contributing to strategic project structuring and execution.
Supporting junior team members through mentoring and active engagement in their development.
Working as part of cross-practice and multi-jurisdictional teams on national and international matters.
About You:
6+ years post-admission experience in projects, infrastructure, or construction law gained in a top or mid-tier firm, or a sophisticated in-house environment.
Deep interest in infrastructure and energy transition sectors with an ability to see the broader commercial and strategic context.
Proven experience in managing complex client relationships and project negotiations.
Strong drafting and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently while also thriving as part of a team.
