This full-time, permanent Senior Associate position is ideal for a driven practitioner who thrives in an intellectually stimulating and collaborative environment, and wants to help lead a well-supported, client-facing construction practice.

The Role
Working with a range of state and local government, developers, contractors and aged care operators, you’ll enjoy direct exposure to major construction, procurement, infrastructure and redevelopment matters across sectors including:

  • Education

  • Water and utilities

  • Local government

  • Residential and commercial precincts

  • Sports and aquatic centres

  • Waste and resource recovery

You will:

  • Draft, negotiate and advise on D&C, construct-only, PPP and collaborative contracting models

  • Develop and manage standard form tendering and contract documentation

  • Lead business development initiatives and represent the firm at networking events

  • Contribute to internal precedent development and thought leadership

  • Mentor junior lawyers and play a key role in team development

You Will Bring

  • 6+ years PAE, with proven expertise in construction and infrastructure (front-end)

  • Deep familiarity with a range of procurement models and contracting methods

  • Commercial acumen and client-facing confidence

  • Clear, articulate written and verbal communication

  • A self-directed, proactive mindset, with a focus on adding value beyond black-letter advice

Experience with local or state government clients and major projects will be highly regarded.
