We are partnering with a world-leading international law firm to recruit a Senior Associate to join their national Financial Services Regulation (FSR) team based in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a close-knit, highly regarded practice advising both local and international clients in the banking, non-bank lending, payments, and fintech sectors.
About the Role
You will provide expert, non-contentious regulatory advice helping clients navigate an increasingly complex and evolving regulatory landscape. Your work will cover areas including:
Payment systems regulation
Anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws
Consumer credit and retail banking regulation
Prudential regulation, including the financial accountability regime
Personal property securities legislation
You will also play a key role supporting multi-disciplinary matters, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to the growth and reputation of the practice.

About You
Proven Senior Associate level experience in financial services regulation, either in private practice, in-house, or a regulatory body
Strong technical skills and excellent academic credentials
Experience across one or more regulatory areas mentioned above
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
A passion for mentoring and developing junior lawyers
