About the Role
Join a thriving Financial Services & Fintech practice that advises leading domestic and international clients on the legal and regulatory frameworks shaping Australia’s digital economy. You'll work on complex matters involving:
Blockchain technology, digital assets and payments innovation
Market entry and licensing for fintechs and financial institutions
Regulatory compliance (AFSL, AML/CTF, sanctions, privacy, DDO)
High-stakes disputes and regulatory investigations
Cross-border matters involving crypto regulation and new tech
This is a varied and strategic role offering direct client engagement, file autonomy and scope to help grow the practice’s national footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal and regulatory advice across the fintech, financial services and digital assets sectors
Manage complex client projects, disputes and licensing matters
Develop trusted client relationships and lead matters end-to-end
Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to a supportive, collaborative culture
Drive business development initiatives and represent the team in thought leadership
About You
You are a confident and curious financial services lawyer with:
6+ years’ post-admission experience, ideally in private practice or in-house
Strong understanding of fintech, blockchain, payments and emerging tech
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and disputes
Commercial nous and excellent communication skills
An appetite to innovate and contribute to a nationally recognised practice
