In addition to the Commonwealth matter, the broader team’s work includes:
Property disputes
General commercial and corporate litigation
Large family trust disputes
Regulatory investigations and civil penalty proceedings
Insolvency-related litigation (administrations, liquidations and receiverships)
Retail, commercial and industrial leasing disputes
Shareholder oppression claims and class actions
Commercial crime matters, including fraud and anti-corruption
Acting for state and federal governments on investigations, Royal Commissions and procurement disputes
You are an engaged, motivated and technically strong disputes lawyer who enjoys working on complex matters and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients. You thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and take pride in mentoring and supporting junior lawyers.
You will bring:
5–7 years PAE, with experience as a Senior Associate (or close to promotion)
A background in commercial litigation gained at a reputable practice
Experience in general commercial disputes (government or investigations experience is advantageous but not essential)
Strong matter management skills, including the ability to coordinate workflows and delegate effectively
Confidence dealing with a wide range of corporate, individual and government clients
Excellent analytical, research and drafting skills
A collaborative mindset and interest in contributing to team culture and development
This role offers exposure to significant, high-profile work, direct client access, and genuine career progression within a well-respected national practice. The firm places a strong emphasis on quality work, professional development and maintaining a supportive, inclusive workplace.
Flexible working arrangements and family-friendly policies
Modern office environment
Health and wellbeing initiatives, including EAP and flu vaccinations
Social and community engagement opportunities
Recognition and reward programs
Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion and pro bono work
If you are a litigation lawyer looking to take the next step in your career and work on complex, meaningful matters within a collaborative team, this opportunity is well worth exploring.
Applications should include a current CV and a cover letter outlining your interest and suitability for the role.
