The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate to join a well-established Insurance team based in Brisbane. You will work alongside a high-performing group of legal professionals across a broad range of insurance advisory and litigation matters, including:
Public liability
Professional indemnity
Property liability
Policy indemnity
Life/TPD insurance
Motor claims
Subrogated recoveries
Key responsibilities will include:
Drafting legal advices
Communicating with clients (written and verbal)
Preparing Court documents
Drafting correspondence and liaising with other practitioners
Attending and conducting settlement conferences and mediations
Conducting routine Court appearances
Managing files autonomously

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
3–5 years’ post-admission experience in insurance litigation (defendant experience preferred)
Strong advocacy and analytical skills
The ability to assess complex matters and provide practical advice
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A proactive approach with strong organisational and file management skills
The ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
A collaborative mindset and strong client service focus
