A leading insurance litigation team in Brisbane is seeking a driven and personable Lawyer or Associate (2+ years PAE) to join their growing general insurance practice. About the Role
You’ll work across a broad portfolio of property damage recoveries and indemnity disputes, gaining hands-on experience in managing files, engaging directly with clients, and appearing in various courts and tribunals. The role is ideal for an ambitious litigator seeking to deepen their expertise in insurance law while being part of a collaborative and down-to-earth team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a range of litigated matters focused on complex property damage and indemnity issues
Draft advice, court documents and correspondence with a high level of accuracy and strategy
Appear in court and tribunals, including case conferences and mediations
Build strong client relationships with regular direct engagement
Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team development
What We're Looking For
A current QLD practising certificate and a minimum of 2 years’ PAE
Solid experience in insurance litigation (property damage preferred)
Exceptional drafting and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
A commercial mindset and team-oriented approach
