Insurance Lawyer 1-3 PQE

We are currently working with a highly regarded national law firm seeking a Lawyer with 1–3 years' PAE to join their leading Government & Administrative Law team based in Perth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing public law practice, acting for a range of Commonwealth departments and agencies, particularly in matters related to NDIS planning and insurance access, as well as Commonwealth employee compensation matters.

You’ll work under the guidance of supportive senior lawyers and partners known for their mentorship, with the opportunity to appear in conferences and conciliations before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent government clients in public and administrative law matters

  • Advise on matters relating to disability, compensation, and access schemes (primarily under the NDIS)

  • Prepare for and attend AAT hearings, conciliations, and conferences

  • Conduct legal research, draft submissions, and provide clear, practical legal advice


What We’re Looking For:

  • Admitted lawyer with 1–3 years’ PAE (general litigation experience also welcomed)

  • Strong interest in government, public, or administrative law

  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • A client-focused mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for public law
