Insurance Lawyer 1-3 PQE

We are partnering with a highly respected national firm to find a talented Lawyer with 1–3 years' PAE to join their expanding Commonwealth Government practice in Brisbane.

In this role, you’ll work with a range of Commonwealth Government agencies, advising on administrative decision-making, statutory interpretation, public law issues, and handling Administrative Appeals Tribunal reviews. This is a rare opportunity to join a thriving practice committed to excellence in the government advisory space.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice on administrative law and public law matters

  • Assist with statutory interpretation, merits review, and tribunal work

  • Work closely with senior lawyers and government clients on complex advisory matters

  • Draft clear, practical legal advice that supports public sector decision-making


Who We're Looking For:

  • A lawyer with 1–3 years of post-admission experience, ideally with public law exposure

  • Strong academic background and attention to detail

  • Experience or interest in areas such as:

  • Statutory interpretation

  • Administrative law and AAT matters

  • Commonwealth statutory schemes (e.g., NDIS, Comcare)

  • Excellent communication, drafting, and legal research skills
