An exciting opportunity is available for a Lawyer to join a well-established national law firm within its Brisbane Insurance team, specialising in motor vehicle property damage litigation. This role offers the chance to work within a high-performing, collaborative team acting for insurers in a fast-paced litigation practice.
You will represent insurers in motor vehicle insurance-related litigation matters, including both bringing and defending property damage claims. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to further develop their litigation skills in a supportive yet dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Reviewing files and preparing written advice
• Managing client communications (written and verbal)
• Drafting court documents, including statements of evidence
• Preparing correspondence and liaising with opposing practitioners
• Appearing in the Local Court
• End-to-end file management
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Experience in insurance litigation or general litigation with a strong interest in specialising in insurance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A professional, client-focused approach
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume practice
• Initiative and a proactive mindset
