You will join a nationally recognised Insurance team specialising in institutional risk, liability and special issues, including sensitive and complex matters relating to child safety, historical abuse claims and the National Redress Scheme. The team also works closely with organisations on investigations, governance, and the development of robust child protection frameworks.
This is a blended role combining special issues advisory work and dispute resolution. Responsibilities include:
Providing clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice
Reviewing and analysing relevant case law and legislative developments
Conducting high-quality legal research and drafting
Managing a diverse and demanding workload effectively
Developing a strong understanding of client operations and strategic objectives
Building and maintaining client relationships
Mentoring and supporting junior team members
Managing ongoing professional development and CPD requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
2+ years’ post-qualification experience
Experience in, and a genuine passion for, Personal Injury law, particularly abuse-related matters
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A calm, empathetic and professional approach
The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
Sound judgment and the ability to navigate sensitive and challenging issues
Proven relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
