The Opportunity
A leading law firm is seeking a dynamic lawyer to join its Superannuation team within the broader Investment Funds practice. The practice has strong expertise across listed and unlisted funds, alternative investments (including credit, real estate, private equity, energy, infrastructure, and distressed debt), pensions and superannuation funds, wholesale and retail funds, securities, derivatives, mortgages, and fixed interest.
The Superannuation team handles a wide range of work, including regulatory investigations and litigation involving financial regulators, trustee governance and administration, remediation projects, fund transformation initiatives, specialist advice, and successor fund transfers. The role also involves exposure to work with an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) or investment dimension.
This position is suited to a corporate or investment funds lawyer looking to deepen their expertise in superannuation or an experienced superannuation lawyer seeking to join a collaborative and growing top-tier practice.
About You
Between 2-6 years' post-qualification legal experience, gained at a top-tier law firm or through a combination of top-tier and in-house roles.
Experience in regulatory, licensing, governance, administration, distribution, restructuring, and/or investment matters related to superannuation, funds management, or life insurance products is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Commercially minded with the ability to articulate and negotiate effectively.
Strong attention to detail and well-developed analytical skills.
