A leading international law firm is seeking a talented IP Litigation Lawyer / Associate to join its Melbourne office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated lawyer to work on complex, high-profile intellectual property disputes within a highly regarded disputes team.
You will be involved in a broad range of contentious IP matters, acting for major domestic and international clients across industries such as technology, life sciences, media, and consumer goods. The role offers hands-on responsibility, exposure to sophisticated litigation, and the chance to work closely with experienced senior lawyers in a collaborative environment.
Advising clients on IP disputes, including patent, trade mark, copyright, and trade secrets matters
Drafting pleadings, evidence, and submissions
Managing discovery and interlocutory processes
Supporting matters through all stages of litigation, including trials and appeals
Working directly with clients and external experts
Assisting with strategic advice on IP enforcement and risk management
Qualified lawyer (or soon to be qualified) with experience in IP litigation or complex commercial disputes
Strong academic background
Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively under pressure
A collaborative mindset and strong attention to detail
Exposure to premium, complex IP litigation work
