The Role
As a Lawyer/Associate with 3–5+ years’ PQE, you’ll work closely with experienced partners and colleagues across Australia on a diverse range of matters, including:

  • Advising on IP, technology and regulatory issues, including defamation and privacy

  • Managing disputes & litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyright, designs, passing off and misleading or deceptive conduct

  • Trademark and design prosecution, brand protection and IP commercialisation

  • Advising on and managing global IP portfolios, liaising with IP offices and foreign agents

  • Providing pre-litigation and commercial advisory work across IP and consumer law

  • Representing clients in dispute resolution and litigation before relevant courts and tribunals

  • Staying abreast of developments in online regulation and emerging technology issues

  • Supporting business development, mentoring junior staff, and building client relationships

About You
You will ideally bring:

  • 3–5+ years PQE in IP and/or technology law, including litigation and advisory experience

  • Strong technical skills with proven ability to deliver commercial, client-focused solutions

  • Exposure to consumer law, pre-litigation and regulatory matters (highly regarded)

  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills

  • Energy, enthusiasm, and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced but supportive team environment

  • While Brisbane is preferred, candidates in Sydney or Melbourne will also be considered
