The Role
As a Lawyer/Associate with 3–5+ years’ PQE, you’ll work closely with experienced partners and colleagues across Australia on a diverse range of matters, including:
Advising on IP, technology and regulatory issues, including defamation and privacy
Managing disputes & litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyright, designs, passing off and misleading or deceptive conduct
Trademark and design prosecution, brand protection and IP commercialisation
Advising on and managing global IP portfolios, liaising with IP offices and foreign agents
Providing pre-litigation and commercial advisory work across IP and consumer law
Representing clients in dispute resolution and litigation before relevant courts and tribunals
Staying abreast of developments in online regulation and emerging technology issues
Supporting business development, mentoring junior staff, and building client relationships
About You
You will ideally bring:
3–5+ years PQE in IP and/or technology law, including litigation and advisory experience
Strong technical skills with proven ability to deliver commercial, client-focused solutions
Exposure to consumer law, pre-litigation and regulatory matters (highly regarded)
A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
Energy, enthusiasm, and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced but supportive team environment
While Brisbane is preferred, candidates in Sydney or Melbourne will also be considered
