The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a leading commercial law firm to recruit a Legal Assistant for their busy Property team in the Melbourne CBD. You’ll work closely with two well-regarded senior lawyers and play a central role in delivering exceptional client service across property transactions, developments and general commercial property work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level administrative and legal support to two senior Property lawyers
  • Draft, prepare and amend legal documents, correspondence and contracts
  • Assist with property transactions, settlements and matter management
  • Manage diaries, coordinate meetings and organise travel
  • File management — opening/closing matters, electronic filing, maintaining document control
  • Liaise with clients, external stakeholders and internal teams professionally
  • Prepare monthly billing and time entry
  • Support general practice administration and contribute to team efficiency

About You
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary (Property experience preferred)
  • Strong document preparation and formatting skills
  • Exceptional organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle competing deadlines and work with autonomy
  • Professional communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Team-oriented, dependable and confident working directly with senior stakeholders
