Are you an experienced Insurance Litigator looking for a firm that combines top-tier work with a genuine, flexible culture?
We are currently seeking a talented Associate, Senior Associate, or Special Counsel (3+ years PAE) to join one of Australia’s most respected Life Insurance practices. This team is at the forefront of the industry, acting for the majority of Australian life insurers across every state and territory.
This is a rare opportunity to manage a high-quality caseload involving the full spectrum of life products, including Income Protection, TPD, and Critical Illness.
Working under the guidance of highly regarded industry leaders, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy while being supported by a collaborative national team. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing strategic initial advice and taking client instructions.
Drafting pleadings and reviewing policy wording.
Liaising directly with major insurers, reinsurers, and opposing counsel.
Managing all stages of the litigation process, including negotiating settlements and appearing in court matters.
We are looking for a practitioner who is technically excellent and thrives in a fast-paced, client-centric environment. To be successful, you will have:
3+ years’ PAE (up to Special Counsel level) within a defendant life insurance litigation practice.
A proven track record in managing insurance disputes.
Exceptional communication skills and a professional, mature approach.
The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with confidence.
