Are you a commercially-minded Litigation Lawyer looking to step into a firm that values merit over tenure? We are seeking an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate to join our top-tier Melbourne Litigation team.
Working closely with a leading Partner in the Banking and Finance space, you will tackle a sophisticated caseload involving commercial risk management, mortgage recovery, security enforcement, and complex fraud/scam litigation. This is a role for a lawyer who enjoys high-level autonomy while maintaining the support of a powerhouse national firm.
You won't just be "doing the research." In this role, you will be in the driver’s seat of complex matters. Your responsibilities will include:
Matter Carriage: Leading complex banking litigation files from inception to resolution.
Large-Scale Litigation: Collaborating with the wider team on high-stakes, multi-jurisdictional matters.
Advocacy & Drafting: Frequent court appearances, drafting intricate legal documents, and providing high-level strategic advice.
Client Management: Building and maintaining direct relationships with major commercial and government banking clients.
3+ years PAE with a solid background in dispute resolution (specifically within banking and financial services).
Strategic Thinking: A knack for critical analysis and the ability to navigate risk for commercial clients.
Leadership Mentality: An appetite to mentor junior solicitors and lead by example.
Proactive Approach: A client-first mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
