The partner's practice is exclusively focused on property disputes, offering highly complex, high-stakes, and intellectually stimulating work. You will step into a fast-paced, client-focused environment that balances a sophisticated tier-one case load with a genuinely supportive and collaborative culture.
As an Associate or Junior Senior Associate with at least 4 years PAE, you will manage a variety of complex, multifaceted legal matters with a distinct focus on property and leasing-based disputes. Given your experience, you will enjoy a high level of autonomy on files while benefiting from structured partner oversight and mentorship.
High-Value Leasing Disputes: Work across high-profile retail leasing disputes for major shopping centre owners and commercial landlords.
Frontline Drafting & Litigation: Issue letters of demand, statutory demands, and breach notices. Commence legal proceedings across the Local, District, and Supreme Courts, as well as NCAT.
Strategic & Investigative Work: Handle guarantor issues, conduct detailed investigative work on the ASIC register, and manage financial positioning/strategic modeling for damages.
Complex Advisory: Access a broad range of matters involving misleading and deceptive conduct, unconscionable conduct, breach of quiet enjoyment, consumer law litigation, relief against forfeiture, and complex legal/contractual interpretation cases.

Experience: 4+ years Post Admission Experience (PAE) within a well-regarded commercial litigation or property disputes practice.
Technical Skills: Strong drafting skills (evidence and pleadings), sharp analytical problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
Courtroom Confidence: Proven experience in court appearance work and interlocutory applications.
Leadership & Teamwork: A desire to work collaboratively, with a willingness to mentor and guide junior lawyers within the practice.
Matter Management: Adept at managing multiple files, prioritising effectively, and meeting strict deadlines under minimal supervision.
