Litigation Lawyer

Associate – Litigation & Insolvency (2–4 PAE)

Location: Brisbane

An established and progressive Australian law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate (2–4 years PAE) to join its growing Brisbane-based litigation team. This role is well suited to a driven lawyer who enjoys responsibility, client contact, and the opportunity to run matters with increasing autonomy.


The Role

You will work across a broad range of commercial litigation, employment disputes, debt recovery, enforcement (secured and unsecured), and insolvency matters. The position offers meaningful exposure to complex matters and regular interaction with clients, referrers, and senior practitioners.

The successful candidate will be expected to step confidently into an active caseload and contribute from day one.


Key Responsibilities & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience running commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters

  • Strong advocacy skills, including court appearances and mediations

  • Ability and willingness to manage litigation and insolvency matters with relative autonomy through to trial, where required

  • Excellent drafting skills, including correspondence, advice, pleadings, applications, and affidavits

  • Experience preparing briefs to counsel, experts, and agents

  • A solid working knowledge of State and Federal Court rules

  • Strong technical ability with a high level of attention to detail
