Commercial Litigation & Insolvency Lawyer / Associate (1–4 PAE)
Gold Coast
An established and growing commercial law firm is seeking an enthusiastic Commercial Litigation / Insolvency Lawyer or Associate (1–4 PAE) to join its Commercial Litigation & Insolvency team on the Gold Coast. This role offers hands-on exposure to complex matters, close mentorship from senior practitioners, and genuine career development.
The Role
• Manage a diverse commercial litigation and insolvency file load under the supervision of Senior Lawyers and Partners
• Act for liquidators, trustees, administrators, receivers, and company directors
• Work on large and complex commercial disputes across multiple jurisdictions
• Draft pleadings, advices, submissions, correspondence, and briefs to Counsel and experts
• Prepare for and appear at directions hearings, interlocutory applications, settlement conferences, and final hearings (with Counsel where appropriate)
• Undertake legal research to support legal strategy and client advice
• Attend professional development seminars and networking events
About You
• 1–4 years PAE
• Experience in commercial litigation, insolvency and/or dispute resolution
• Proactive, pragmatic, and client-focused approach to problem-solving
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively
• Confident communicator who builds strong relationships with clients and colleagues
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and adaptable to new systems and technology
• Experience with a practice management system (Actionstep highly regarded)
