Are you a passionate and experienced Litigation Lawyer looking to take the next step in your career? A highly respected, well-established boutique firm based in Southport is seeking a talented lawyer to join their close-knit Litigation Team.
This is a rare opportunity to step out of the shadows of large team structures and into a role offering true case management from Day 1. You will work directly with a leading Partner, gaining an exceptional balance of high-level mentorship and the autonomy to drive your own matters.
As a senior member of this focused team, you will run a diverse portfolio of litigation matters independently, including:
End-to-End Case Management: Leading and driving commercial and insolvency litigation matters from inception through to resolution.
Advocacy & Representation: Engaging in strategic negotiations, mediations, and confidently representing a diverse clientele (from individuals to corporate entities) in court.
Broad Legal Scope: Advising on employment, competition, and consumer law matters.
Mentorship: Guiding and mentoring junior lawyers while collaborating closely with the Partner on innovative legal strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong academic background and a track record of success within a recognized or branded firm culture.
Must-Have Criteria:
Experience: Minimum 3 years PAE as a litigation lawyer, with an unrestricted practicing certificate (or eligibility for one) in Queensland.
Specialization: Proven track record in commercial litigation and insolvency.
Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to manage complex matters independently with minimal supervision.
Communication: Exceptional advocacy, negotiation, and client-facing communication skills.
Desirable Extra:
Prior experience or exposure to body corporate matters is highly regarded, though not essential.
