About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Associate (4+ years PQE) to join a highly regarded medical negligence team within the firm’s Melbourne office.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with industry-recognised leaders on complex, high-value and sensitive claims. The team acts for major insurers, hospitals, and medical practitioners, providing advice and representation across:

  • Defence of medical negligence claims (including nervous shock, wrongful birth, catastrophic injury and birth injury matters)

  • Coronial investigations and inquests

  • Disciplinary proceedings involving medical practitioners


The position offers exposure to sophisticated defendant insurance work and the opportunity to develop your career within one of Melbourne’s most respected practices.


About You
You are a motivated and detail-oriented lawyer with:

  • At least 4 years’ post-admission experience (PQE)

  • Experience in defendant personal injury, professional indemnity, or medical negligence matters

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • A pragmatic and commercial approach to claims resolution

  • The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and support junior lawyers or paralegals as needed
