A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its high-performing Construction & Infrastructure team in Brisbane. The Brisbane Construction & Infrastructure group comprises over 20 lawyers, including multiple highly experienced partners, and services a strong and consistent client base across major construction and infrastructure projects nationwide. The team advises government and commercial clients on both front-end and back-end construction matters and is known for its collaborative culture and technical excellence.
You will work closely with senior practitioners on complex, high-value matters, including:
Managing large-scale construction and infrastructure disputes
Leading adjudications, arbitrations, and civil litigation
Analysing and organising evidence with a forensic approach
Drafting detailed and strategic legal submissions
Providing commercially focused advice to clients
Building trusted client relationships and servicing ongoing workflows
Mentoring and supporting junior lawyers within the team
The ideal candidate will have:
Approximately 5+ years’ post-admission experience
Strong background in commercial litigation, ideally with construction exposure
A genuine interest in construction and infrastructure law
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong drafting and analytical capabilities
Commercial acumen and sound judgment
Leadership skills and an interest in developing junior lawyers
